Open one of the surveys stored on the phone.

The cursor keys are used to indicate the direction of the next measurement. With a Bluetooth link you can do this from the Disto or the phone's keypad.

Choose Wall, Opening (window or door) or simple Distance measurements or Point for features with no length.

Enter just the length or add a height. Base heights are for window cills or changes of level and end heights allow for sloping ceilings. Any feature can have a comment.

Measurements are in any unit you choose (no decimals) typically cm (or inches in the US).

Surveyor is controlled by key presses and a few menu options. There are two modes - Draw mode for entering data and View mode for reviewing the survey.

Your current position or the survey feature you are reviewing is always at the centre of the display.

View mode lets you review and edit every feature in the survey. Green and blue colour codes remind you which mode you are using.
If measurements are not orthogonal you can use triangulation from a previous point to fix directions accurately.
There are three possible ways to transfer survey data to computer: Send it to any email address or save it in DXF and text formats direct to a computer using Bluetooth or to the phone's memory card and from there to a computer via data cable, card reader or infra-red.
